The Economy Award of the President of the Republic of Poland is a prestigious economy distinction awarded each year by the President of Poland. The goal of the award is to support Polish entrepreneurs and award the best ones. This year, the President of the Republic of Poland, Andrzej Duda, announced the winners in four main categories: SME Leader, National Success, International Success, and Responsible Business, and in two special categories:: STARTUP_PL and Research + Development. WIŚNIOWSKI was among the 18 companies competing for the award, having been nominated in the Responsible Business category.
The nomination for WIŚNIOWSKI was the crowning of its achievements to date related to corporate social responsibility. The brand not only supports the Polish Football Association (PZPN), but also local sports teams and many events related to physical activity or assistance for the sick or the disadvantaged. The company also cooperates with cultural and scientific centres and supports the activity of rescue organisations, e.g. Mountain Volunteer Search and Rescue (GOPR) in Krynica-Zdrój, Water Volunteer Rescue (WOPR) in Gródek nad Dunajcem or the fire brigade in Chorzów, to name a few.
